In many older homes, supplemental heat is an ongoing issue. While you work to retroactively replace insulation, upgrade wood stoves, pellet stoves, or furnaces and make your place more efficient, a space heater is a great way to boost heat where you need it most. The only problem? A lot of them are energy hogs, driving up electric costs quick.
