Better Farm is open year-round. The 65-acre, solar-powered property includes woods, a pond, cabins, tiny homes, gardens, a sauna, 2,500-square-foot Art Barn housing a recording studio, radio station, classroom space, and art gallery, an events barn perfect for weddings, retreats, yoga, performances, and other events, and multiple animal enclosures housing rescued farm animals. Better Farm is within 11 miles of more than a dozen lakes, 10 miles from Alexandria Bay and the Thousand Islands, 30 minutes north of Watertown, and less than an hour’s drive to Canada. The property is great for snowshoeing, hiking, exploring, hosting a special event, or just sitting outside watching the stars.

Farmhouse rooms

The farmhouse features multiple private bedrooms, two full, shared bathrooms, and a shared kitchenette (full-size fridge, toaster oven, microwave, sit-down kitchen table, coffee maker, teapot, hot plate, slow cooker, blender). There is a first-floor wraparound deck and second-floor deck, both with seating and tables. Wireless internet is available throughout the farmhouse.

Cabins

All cabin guests have access to the Art Barn, multiple bonfire pits, and all outdoor seating and recreation areas.

The Birdhouse: Private 10x10 cabin (no facilities in cabin); two buildings away from compost toilet; access to farmhouse for two shared, full bathrooms and shared kitchenette.

Rustic Tiny Home: Private 12x20 cabin with loft (no facilities); compost toilet next door. No access to farmhouse.

Guests staying in the birdhouse cabin or in the main house have access to the main house (two bathrooms and a kitchenette with fridge/food storage), bonfire pit, the Art Barn (studio/gallery space, lounge), and all outdoor spaces (excluding animal enclosures). The tiny home is next door to a compost toilet outhouse.
