Better Renovations: Upstairs Hallway, Before

I think wall-to-wall carpeting at least in this upstairs hallway is essential because of the mismatched wood from the 1970 renovation and addition...

Other thoughts:

Too much clutter? (In which case, relocation is necessary for books...)
Necessary to sand down/re-stain bannister?
Uniform color for all doors?
Any other thoughts?

Friendsgiving 2025: The Beatitude of Gratitude

Sure is pretty out there. Seasonal freezes help to regulate pest populations, manage water resources, and provide essential insulation for soil. Ice cover also helps lakes and other water bodies sequester carbon from the atmosphere. After a pretty relentless drought, the recent rainfall, snow, and ice are helping to regulate things ahead of winter. Keeping this in mind as we crank the wood stove and bundle up—stay warm, friends!
