WORKSHOP: 'Knowing Trees' Retreat June 26-28

from $300.00

A weekend-long immersive in tree biology, ecology, and identification!

In this first-of-its-kind program led by Levi O'Brien, you’ll join a small group to thoroughly develop your observational skills and understanding of local trees. The weekend-long, immersive workshop will be taught with the rigor of a college-level intensive, but with an approach that makes it accessible to all skill levels. Hone your knowledge through a combination of hands-on, field- and lab-based learning, and discussion-based classes. Dress for hiking and bring a notebook.

“Knowing Trees” will provide you with a deepened foundation of tree biology, ecology, and identification. Education will involve lectures, lab activities, and field excursions into the surrounding property.

Topics include taxonomy, anatomy, physiology, site specificity, historical use, cultural importance, and identification.

This workshop includes lodging and meals. See full description and run of show here.
